This is a full-time consulting assignment suitable for those who have their own company or wish to be employed by us during the assignment with the client. Our client is on an ambitious digital journey to redefine the customer experience in the automotive industry through data-driven development. A central part of this is the ability to quickly receive feedback from both drivers and vehicles.

The client develops data platforms and data products that enable the organization to make better decisions based on real usage and vehicle data. We are now looking for you who enjoy the role of a consultant and have experience in Data Engineering within complex, modern data environments.

In the role of Data Engineer, you will work closely with other engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver privacy-compliant data products with high quality and availability.

This assignment includes:

• Design and development of scalable data pipelines for business-oriented data products
• Management of pipelines for driver feedback and vehicle data (time-series data)
• Ensuring data quality, stable operations, and monitoring of usage and costs
• Implementation of monitoring and quality metrics
• Documentation according to team guidelines and preparation for handover
• Collaboration with engineers, architects, and stakeholders
• Support to the Product Owner in communication and leadership-related tasks

Data products may include, for example, software versions, mileage, driver time, and common identifiers per driving cycle, in line with data standards and governance requirements.

Your background:

• Very strong competence in Python, version control (Git/Gerrit), and CI/CD
• Experience with container technology (Docker) and modern data pipelines (e.g., Databricks, Airflow)
• Strong system design and programming background with the ability to independently design solutions
• Good knowledge of SQL, API management, and data visualization (Power BI)
• Experience with Azure, Snowflake, and test development
• Analytical mindset and curiosity about new tools and ways of working
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
• Fluent English in speech and writing
• Meritorious knowledge of the UDS diagnostic communication protocol (automotive)

More about the assignment

You will be assigned to the client through Intenso Interim Management. Assignments can be carried out by you with your own company or as an employee of ours. The assignments are full-time and are estimated to last 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.
